Yoga teaches us, that what we experience outside of ourselves, is only a reflection of what is inside of us. Simply put, what our eyes see in the world is a reflection of our own thoughts, feelings, and desires. I think this is one of the most powerful messages of the yoga sutra’s. They say, when your totally at peace within; in your midst ALL conflict would stop. Imagine walking in the middle of a war, and everything ceases.
That is one of the reasons why I practice. The idea, that my vibration could cause such a tremendous shift in others, in a positive way is mind shattering. Just think of the conflict that some of us experience in our family; that would change with us practicing yoga. Think of the conflict within your circle of friends; that would change. Think of the conflict of cities, countries, worlds; that would change, all with this practice of yoga.
You might think this is not possible, yet I have begun to experience some affects towards this already. This is fuel for my practice of yoga. If you want to see change somewhere, start with you. Looking back those years when I was practicing, I believe God put me right in my teachers hands, right at the time I needed.
