In my early 30’s I started noticing varicose veins developing in my legs.  As I got older, my veins got worse.  Varcoise veins (spider veins) are mostly a cosmetic concern, but really point to an underlying concern;  circulation.  Is your circulation top notch?  Here are some indicators that might indicate you have poor circulation…

  • Numbness and tingling in extremities
  • Cold hands and feet
  • Swelling in the lower
  • Cognitive dysfunction
  • Digestive Problems
  • Joint pain and muscle cramping & Fatigue
  • Varicose Veins

Yoga can help immensely with poor circulation, but in particular inversions.  My varicose veins have all but disappeared, thanks to inversions in the hammock.  Poor circulation can lead to other serious problems, and it’s better to be proactive, than to wait for these problems to arise.  Inversions can also help with rosacea or redness in the face.  In fact, it’s pretty difficult for me to say something that hasn’t gotten better with the practice of aerial yoga in my life.  My inner ear/sinus and motion sickness have all disappeared with aerial hammock.

We have all kinds of classes to help you get started, from beginning, foundations and also some serious core work hanging upside down.  You just might find some surprising benefits of hanging like a monkey that you didn’t expect!

See you on the mat,

Paula
